Facebook Android Phone Coming Soon?

    Earlier this month, TechCrunch reported that  Facebook is working on their own mobile device.  The project won’t be ready until next year and will be powered by the Android Operating system with a highly customized user interface.  Joe Hewitt (who helped to create the FireFox browser and created all of Facebook’s iPhone web and native apps) and Matthew Papakipos (who led project development for Google’s Chrome OS until June) are rumored to be working on the project.

    Facebook, however, is denying the claim – stating that they are “not building a phone.”  (via TechCrunch)
