Bing It On

Recent studies show that no matter how good Bing really is, most consumers will automatically assume it’s not as good as Google. A recent study by Survey Monkey has found that consumers will prefer any search results that have a Google label on top of them, even if they are actually results from Bing. When users were given a choice between Bing search results labeled as Google vs. Google results labeled as Bing, they chose the Google labeled results by nearly 2 to 1. Interestingly, when results were presented without any brand label on them, Google’s lead over Bing decreases significantly; with 57% selecting Google and 43% choosing Bing.
