Yahoo! released a lot of new features on their News Search earlier this month. On the left column, they added a tool that allows users to filter their search results by popular news sources, decreasing the search time and improving the quality of the search. In addition, users can now also filter by time (e.g. last hour, day, or week).

On March 31, Google launched Google Ad Innovations, where users will be able to review some of Google‘s latest ideas around advertising and provide their feedback. Susan Wojcicki, Vice President of Product Management at Google, stated that as advertising evolves and marketers are looking for creative ways to communicate with users, they’ve found that the best way to do this is to “test new approaches regularly and listen closely to the feedback of the advertisers using our products.”

Actress Lindsay Lohan has filed a huge lawsuit ($100 million) against E-Trade for a commercial aired by the company, calling it defamatory. The advertisement shows a baby named Lindsay, who is described as a “milkaholic”, which, according to Lohan, is a reference to her hard-partying ways, People magazine reported.
