Sprint HTC Hero Updates
Sprint announced a maintenance release last week that will bring a number of fixes including device diagnostics and an updated Sprint Zone app. Similar to historical updates, Sprint will release this in batches.
If you’ve already received the update, send me the link and I’ll update the post for everyone to manually download.
New Nexus One OTA
Nexus One received another OTA recently. Although it’s still not Gingerbread, the update does provide a number of patches and bug fixes.

Droid Incredible OTA Update
Verizon Wireless started releasing a new update for the Droid Incredible last week. The updates are being reported as minor, however Verizon has managed to include the VCast app store – which supports carrier billing. Other improvements include:
Improved Yahoo IMAP support
Flash security enhancements
Updated Slacker app
Search key and buttons now displayed in correct order
And much more!
Facebook Android Phone Coming Soon?
Earlier this month, TechCrunch reported that Facebook is working on their own mobile device. The project won’t be ready until next year and will be powered by the Android Operating system with a highly customized user interface. Joe Hewitt (who helped to create the FireFox browser and created all of Facebook‘s iPhone web and native apps) and Matthew Papakipos (who led project development for Google‘s Chrome OS until June) are rumored to be working on the project.
