A new version of the Android Market is being released along with many of the new updates coming in Android 2.2 (Froyo).  One of the features, allows users to opt in to automatic updates – a feature that is sure to please many.  Other updates include a new layout for the market and separating comments from the general app information.  See more from the screen shots below.

How to Manually Update to Froyo

If you have a Nexus One and you are currently running ERE27, you can follow these steps to update your phone manually to Android 2.2 (Froyo).  (via AndroidCentral)

Backup everything via nandroid
Download ERE27 Here
Download the nandroid version of FroYo Here
Reboot into custom recovery
Wipe all data
Flash the ERE27 update.zip file from step 2
When finished, preform a nandroid restore using the nandroid image you downloaded in step 3
Enjoy some FroYo

Android 2.2 Coming Soon

Andy Rubin, VP of Engineering at Google, stated that the upcoming Android 2.2 OS (called “Froyo”) will include Flash support in a recent interview with The New York Times. There is still no official launch date for Android 2.2, however many rumored dates are beginning to surface around the Web (sometime around May).
