Google recently updated Gmail to give all users the ability to delegate access to their email account (a feature that was already available for Google Apps users).  This new feature can be accessed in the settings, under the accounts and import settings.

End of Life for Google Wave

Google announced that it would cease development of the Wave application earlier this month.  The official blog stated that “We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year and extend the technology for use in other Google projects…In addition, we will work on tools so that users can easily ‘liberate’ their content from Wave.” (via Google)

Google Voice Invites for Students

Google Voice Invites for Students

Starting on May 14th, Google will be giving priority to Google Voice invites to students.  To get an invite, visit http://google.com/voice/students and enter a “.edu” email address.  Invites will be sent out within 24 hours of submission, and only one invite will be sent per email address.

Google Goes Grassroots

Google recently launched a “Going Google” campaign, which urges users to tweet about why they’ve gone Google and use their applications.  They claim that they already have roughly 1.75 million businesses, schools, and organizations using their  applications, 3000 new users start utilizing the applications each day, an they promise to give away prizes in August to Google Apps customers who share why they’ve gone that route.
