How to Manually Update Android Market

If you are one of the many users who still haven’t received the automatic update to the Android Market, then you have probably been searching the Web for ways to force the update.  Follow these simple steps below to manually add the the market app to your phone (requires Android 2.2+).

Download the zipped update HERE.
Place the file in the root directory of your SD Card (main folder).
Reboot your phone in Recovery mode.
Select Wipe, then Wipe Dalvik-Cache.
Press Vol Down to return [...]

Facebook for Android Receives Update

Earlier this month, Facebook updated their Android app.  Some of the more notable features include support for Facebook chat, push notifications, and various ‘bug fixes.’  Be sure to get the updated app from the Android Market today!

Google Maps for Android Updated

Google updated the Google Maps for Android app earlier this month, adding a number of features including walking directions. According to Google:

Walking Navigation lets you use GPS navigation with walking directions that are more direct and use pedestrian pathways when we know about them…You can even turn off voice guidance and just use these notifications while soaking in the sights and sounds around you.
