Updated PayPal App for Android

The new PayPal app has been released and is packed with a lot of great new features.  A few are listed below.  Be sure to download the new app from the market and test it out!

Bump payment – a feature that allows users to bump devices to transfer money
Split the bill – allows users to calculate everyone’s portion of the bill, including sales tax and tip, and request the money directly from the app
Check Balance
Withdraw funds
Set bill pay reminders

Fring Receives Update

Fring received an update earlier this week addressing many of the issues previously reported by users.  Some of the udpates include improvements to audio quality, echoing is fixed, and support for new Android devices.  There is still no support for Skype, although many users complain that this is a much needed update.

Twitter Launches Official Android App

Twitter Launches Official Android App

Twitter launched their official app for Android last week, and initial feedback is very positive.  It fully supports widgets, uploading images / videos,  and many other great features.  Users must be running 2.1 or above to use the application.  At this time, the app does not support multipe accounts, but there’s promise that this app is “just the beginning.”   (via Twitter)

No Google Maps Navigation for the iPhone

A couple of days ago, reports began surfacing around the Web that Google‘s Mobile Maps product manager promised iPhone users that Google Maps Navigation would be available in the App Store in the future.  However, Google has set the record straight and officially stated that it will not be bringing Google Maps Navigation to the iPhone.  They are still planning on porting the app to other mobile platforms, but details about those expansions are still unclear.
