Google Planning to Axe Agency Fees

Google is planning to kill their agency fees, which have historically been charged to agencies to utilize it’s search platform and suite of APIs.  The change is thought to encourage smaller advertisers to adopt the company’s analytics, tools, and exchange.  Penry Price, Google VP of Agency Development, stated that many agencies have been frustrated that Google has been charging for use of their APIs, and “we want to remove a disincentive to innovation.” (via AdAge)
