Best Buy Nexus S Launch Plan

Best Buy announced it’s launch plan for the Nexus S earlier this month.  Google‘s second handset will be available for online purchase, Best Buy locations, and Best Buy Mobile locations across the United States.  The phones will sell for $529 unlocked, $199 with a two year T-Mobile contract, or $250 as an add-on line to an existing T-Mobile account and are limited to two per person. Facebook Android Phone Coming Soon?

Earlier this month, TechCrunch reported that  Facebook is working on their own mobile device.  The project won’t be ready until next year and will be powered by the Android Operating system with a highly customized user interface.  Joe Hewitt (who helped to create the FireFox browser and created all of Facebook‘s iPhone web and native apps) and Matthew Papakipos (who led project development for Google‘s Chrome OS until June) are rumored to be working on the project.
