Twitter launched their official app for Android last week, and initial feedback is very positive. It fully supports widgets, uploading images / videos, and many other great features. Users must be running 2.1 or above to use the application. At this time, the app does not support multipe accounts, but there’s promise that this app is “just the beginning.” (via Twitter)
Yahoo! released a lot of new features on their News Search earlier this month. On the left column, they added a tool that allows users to filter their search results by popular news sources, decreasing the search time and improving the quality of the search. In addition, users can now also filter by time (e.g. last hour, day, or week).

As the recession continues, loyalty programs are on the rise. According to loyalty market researcher Colloquy, the average U.S. household belongs to more than 14 loyalty programs. CardStar, launched a mobile app in 2009 for the iPhone, that has recently surpassed 1 million downloads and has been used more than 5 million times. Apple is filing suit against the Taiwan based phone maker HTC for iPhone related patent violations. HTC, the maker of the Nexus One that is powered by Google‘s Android operating system, is also responsible for creating several other Android phones – such as the the Droid Eris, MyTouch, and more.
Apple has claimed that many of the HTC phones (including the MyTouch, Nexus One, G-1) were patent technologies used by the iPhone that HTC did not have a license to use. [...]
