Yahoo recently released enhancements to Search Assist, which now provides ‘fresher suggestions, which will be especially useful when there are recent top events or information related to your search topic.’ This enhancement also impacts Yahoo! News Search, where users can quickly find the most recent news and information more quickly.
Google released updates to their search results earlier this week. They have added relevant navigation on the left-hand side of the page as well as made some minor changes to their logo. The new panel “highlights the most relevant search tools and refinements” for users’ queries, stated Marissa Mayer, VP Search Products & User Experience at Google. AOL has launched a beta version a self-service ad tool that will enable marketers to launch and manage their own campaigns. This application, dubbed “Ad Desk,” will sell CPM advertisements that can be targeted by Website, category, geographic location, demographic, and behavior.

Bing released a few updates to Bing Shopping this month to “help you research and find what you’re looking for more quickly.” Some of the updates include a list of product categories on the left, which lead to a drill down to various other categories in the catalog. After you finally find the product you’re looking for, you can view product details, where to buy, user reviews, cashback, and more.
