New Android Market Released

Google released an update to the Android Market, which bring books and movie rentals as well as a ton of other changes.  The new market also sports a new UI, top picks, Editor’s Choice, and Staff Pics.

This update will start rolling out in the next few weeks and is only available for Android 2.2 or higher and for the US only; however Google has stated they have plans to roll this out to other countries in the future.Check out the [...]

Google Showcases Android 3.0

Yesterday, Google also previewed their new tablet only Android OS, called Honeycomb (Android 3.0). This new version was specifically built for large screen devices and will have a redesigned home screen, browser, email, and will also allow Google Talk users to video chat.  Check out the images and video below.

400 Full Movies Now on YouTube

Google recently launched a new section (called “Movies”), which provides users with full-length movies.  Most of the movies included in this new section are free, however there area a few that are available for rental.  This is one of Google‘s efforts to “ensure that people can find all the different kinds of video they want to see…”  They have also sorted the videos into categories ranging from action and adventure to romance and horror.  Checkout the new category HERE!

Twitter Launches Official Android App

Twitter Launches Official Android App

Twitter launched their official app for Android last week, and initial feedback is very positive.  It fully supports widgets, uploading images / videos,  and many other great features.  Users must be running 2.1 or above to use the application.  At this time, the app does not support multipe accounts, but there’s promise that this app is “just the beginning.”   (via Twitter)
