Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich With Working Data for HTC Thunderbolt

The wait is finally over – We finally have an update to Android 4.0 (ICS / Ice Cream Sandwich) for the HTC Thunderbolt with working data!

HTC confirmed the Thunderbolt will be getting an update to Android 4.0 (ICS or Ice Cream Sandwich) earlier this month, stating that they plan to finish the updates by the end of August 2012.

The wait is finally over – We finally have ICS for the HTC Thunderbolt with working data!  Data speeds were originally report as being only 1x with only 1MB per second, however some users are are reporting as high as 2.7MB/sec download & 3.5MB/sec upload (~3G speeds).

While it’s not 4G, the speeds being reported are enough for most general capabilities and likely means 3G and 4G data is coming very soon.  This is a huge breakthrough from XDA Developer community, specifically Liquid0624 & SP-Jester.
