App Inventor Available for General Public

Earlier this week, Google extended invitations for it’s App Inventor to the general public.  App Inventor, a new tool in Google Labs, is an application that makes it extremely easy to create mobile applications for Android devices.  This new tool enables everyone (even non-programmers) to create mobile applications and ‘reshape their communication experience.’

They’ve been testing the tool (App Inventor) in the US and found that ‘it opens up the world of computer programming to students in new and powerful ways,’ stated Mark Friedman, Google Engineer.  Checkout the video below to learn more about App Inventor.  You can also visit their Website to learn more, see some sample applications, and request an invitation.
