Rumors are beginning to surface around the Web that a ROM update for the HTC Hero will be in BestBuy stores by Friday, May 7th. The update will also be available on HTC’s Website and is reported that users can also visit a local BestBuy requesting assistance in performing the update.
The update is said to completely wipe the phone, and BestBuy employees will not have the capability to backup photos, emails, or applications for users who wish to receive the update. (via XDA Developers).
