Introducing Google Offers

After being turned down by Groupon last year, Google started working on it’s own coupon platform – called “Google Offers.”  The service offers restaurant, shopping, and other local deals and are sent to users daily via email.  Users can also share the deals with their friends on social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and Google Buzz.

Google has essentially confirmed this new product / platform is real and is currently in testing phase.  In response to an inquire, Google stated they are “communicating with small businesses to enlist their support and participation in a test of a pre-paid offers / voucher program.”  (via Mashable)
