Mobile App Results Now Included in Google Mobile Search

Google announced an update to Google Search for Mobile earlier this week that makes it easier for users to find actual mobile apps while they are searching. This update is currently only available for Android and iPhone devices and only in the US, but there are plans to expand to additional countries in the future.

To view the update, search for an app on Google via your iPhone or Android phone.  You can view the app’s price, rating, publisher, and other details (including a link to the app store or market page).  The apps will appear along with the search results only when a user’s search “pertains to a mobile application and relevant, well-rated apps are found.”  (via Google)
