At the April 14th Twitter Chirp conference, Evan Williams announced that Twitter would be launching an official Android app. According to TechCrunch, it’s unclear whether Twitter will acquire an existing app (like Tweetie),partner with a developer or mobile device manufacturer (like RIM), or develop the app internally.
