Record Q2 Earnings for HTC

HTC recently reported their second-quarter activity, posting their largest net quarterly profit since Q4/07.  Sales were up 58%, surpassing HTC’s original guidance on Q2. Read more from the official announcement below.  (via HTC)

Taoyuan, Taiwan, R.O.C. July 6, 2010 – HTC Corporation (TAIEX: 2498) today announced its total revenues for June 2010 were NT$ 23,858 million, up 66.68% YoY. For the second quarter of 2010, total revenues reached NT$ 60,532 million with 58.45% year-on-year growth.

For the second quarter of 2010, self-assessed total operating income NT$ 9,172 million, total net income before tax NT$ 9,692 million, total net income after tax NT$ 8,641 million, and self-assessed earnings per share after tax were NT$ 11.17 based on the 773,936 thousand weighted average number of shares before ex-rights. Self-assessed earnings per share after tax were NT$ 10.62 based on the current 813,350 thousand weighted average number of shares after ex-rights. HTC’s 2Q earnings result is better than its original 2Q guidance, both June and 2Q revenues continuously hit record high shows good execution of brand strategy and grow scale strategy.
